Mid-Point Checkup

Now is a great time to be sure your income tax withholding is on track. If you use your paystub closest to June 30, you can double all your numbers, enter them into a tax forecaster (such as Intuit's TaxCaster), and see an estimate of where you will be come tax time. This gives you enough time to do something about it if the withholding isn't quite right. This is particularly important if you changed jobs or changed details on your W-4 (changed filing status, added/removed dependents, etc.).
